Hugh’s House:
The PMI was delighted to continue it’s support of Hugh’s House into 2018, making this the first charity in our history that we have supported as our annual charity partner for two connective years.
For anyone not familiar with the charity, Hugh’s House provides accommodation 365 days a year to the family of children who are long term in patients of either Temple Street or the Rotunda Hospitals.
Accommodation is provided free of charge, and is available for as long as it’s required by the families. They also offer a safe and fun place for children to stop off on their way to and from outpatient or palliative care appointments.
A portion of each ticket for The PMI Annual Christmas Charity Lunch will go to Hugh’s House to assist them in supporting & caring for families coping with a very sick child.
At the Charity Lunch in December 2018, we raised a massive €9,166 between ticket sales and the raffle at the lunch. This will allow Hugh’s House to install two ensuite bathrooms in their long-stay house. At the lunch and raffle in 2017, we raised just over €8,000.
