Join us on 31st October, when Paul Reid, the new Director General of the HSE gives us a briefing on what’s happening within the HSE, the plans for the coming 12 months and the challenges facing them. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet with the new DG, and hear his plans for the department.
Paul Reid, Director General – HSE
Paul Reid was recently announced as the new Director General of the HSE, and took up his position on May 14th.
Immediately prior to this, Paul was the chief executive of Fingal County Council, a role he held since 2014. Paul started his career in the private sector, leading a business unit in Eircom and subsequently he was Head of Organisational Development and Corporate Affairs with Trocaire. He then joined the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform as the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he led the development, implementation and oversight of the Government’s reform programme across the civil and public service. Paul is a member of the Advisory Council on Sláintecare, and was previously Vice Chair of the National Task Force on Youth Mental Health. Paul holds an MSc from Trinity.
