“Building an agile organisation in a matrix working environment”
The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted many companies to reconsider where they are investing time and resources resulting in a blurring of the future operating models for pharma companies. To provide some assistance with navigating this terrain, the PMI have organised a “Leaders Forum” event to provide an space where leaders can hear about and discuss current thinking around organisational structure and come away with tangibles that can be implemented within their organisations.
This lunch event takes place on September 15th, with guest speaker Prof Patrick Gibbons, Professor of Strategic Management with UCD Smurfit Graduate School who will discuss the strategic issues and challenges facing senior leaders alongside Alison Muir, General Manager with Roche Ireland who will give some practical insights into Roche’s strategic journey.
Topic Background:
Against a background of significant instability, ambiguity and change, many pharmaceutical industry leaders are seeking to evolve their (typically matrix) operating models to adopt more agile ways of working and managing change.
In addition, the way we communicate – both externally and internally has changed completely. This session will explore some of the challenges leaders face, with a view to considering and discussing the strategic factors in the development and implementation of future looking and effective organisations.
Audience:
This event is designed for General Managers / Country Managers, Medical Directors and Business Unit Director level attendees.
