There will be an opportunity to pose questions to the speakers in the live webinars, however if you are unable to make the live webinar, you also have the option watch at your leisure as each session is recorded. Speaker slides (where available) and a unique link to the recordings will be sent automatically to each person registered, following the event.
Wednesday 22nd July – Initiate Consultancy
Andrew and his colleagues from Initiate will be focusing on the particular challenges in bringing an orphan drug to the market. During the webinar they will be discussing:

Andrew Mumford, Principal Consultant – Market Access
Andrew is a highly experienced Global Market Access expert, leading pragmatic, solution focused consultancy services at Initiate, a best in class consultancy with exceptional experience in the rare disease sector.
Having gained initial experience in field-based and market access commercial roles, his career moved into senior management roles leading HTA submissions, pricing and reimbursement projects, Value Dossier development, and Value Communication across global markets.
Andrew has a unique set of experience, developing and implementing access initiatives with a particular focus on launching new products in the rare disorder arena. His focus is primarily to ensure clinical demand, value demonstration and acceptance by the payer customer group independent of their market, data set and belief.
Laura Sopeña Álvarez – Market Access Consultant
Laura is an experienced, skilled Market Access Consultant, having successfully delivered and led market access projects in a wide range of international markets she brings a wide range of experience to the team. Laura’s background includes market research, value communication, operations management and strategic investment projects in the field of healthcare.
Bethany English – Lead Analyst
Bethany is a lead Analyst at Initiate, she is able to critically analyse health economic and market access theories and arguments. Bethany’s skilled at building robust impactful models to convey these messages in a direct and succinct fashion. She is also experienced in a number of health research methodologies. Bethany has a BA in Economics and a MSc in Economics and Health Economics.

Grainne Power, Director of Human Products Authorisation and Registration
Grainne joined the HPRA in 2018 to lead the Human Products Authorisation and Registration Department. Her responsibilities include the authorisation or registration of Human Medicines together with Clinical Trials authorisation for the Irish market.
Grainne studied Biotechnology at Dublin City University and has worked in a number of Quality leadership roles within the Irish Pharma/Biopharma manufacturing sectors over a period of 25 years before joining the HPRA.
