PMI Women in Leadership – July

Due to the ongoing Cornavirus restrictions, we are moving our popular Women in Leadership series online for the rest of 2020. 

Our next Women in Leadership event will take place on Thursday 16th July at 1pm, and our special guest will be Liz Henderson, Regional Vice President, APC with Merck Group. 

Liz Henderson, Regional Vice President, APC – Merck Group

Liz Henderson is the recently appointed Regional Vice President for the Merck Biopharma business in Asia Pacific (APAC) and plans to relocate to Singapore in the coming months. In this role Liz Henderson will have overall P&L responsibility for the Merck Biopharma Healthcare Business, covering 11 APAC countries across the company’s four therapy areas: Oncology, Fertility, Neurology and Immunology, and General Medicine and Endocrinology. She is a member of Global Commercial Operations Leadership Team at Merck and the Sponsor for the company’s Women in Leadership (WIL) Asia Council.

Liz’s career began at Merck in 2009. Up to recently Liz was based in the UK, where she held the role of Managing Director and General Manager, Merck UK & Republic of Ireland. Prior to this transition to the Commercial Operations Liz spent almost 20 years in Manufacturing & Supply. Liz lead the Global Manufacturing & Supply network of 18 manufacturing & process development sites globally for Merck Healthcare. Liz started at Merck in the Life Science business sector, including leading the Separations Technology Cluster of manufacturing sites across the United States and Europe. Prior to Merck, she worked for more than 10 years at Pfizer and Amgen in a variety of manufacturing leadership roles.

Liz has a BSc in Analytical Science from Dublin City University and currently lives in Cork with her partner and 7 year old son.
